TPD Compliance Information

The European Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) stipulates that all e liquids containing nicotine sold in the EU must be notified to a designated authority - the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK - and emissions tested. The UK has now left the EU, but the regulations regarding the sale of e liquids remain unchanged. Notified products are each assigned a European Community Identification (ECID) Number. Each version (nicotine strength) of an e liquid is treated as a separate product.

The ECID number must be printed on the packaging of the product. The notification, testing and identification of e liquids has been introduced to improve safety and to enable consumers to check that the products they are purchasing are genuine and have been tested. • Those who have an overactive thyroid gland or have a pheochromocytoma (a tumour of the adrenal gland that can affect high blood pressure)
• Those who have diabetes, as nicotine may affect your sugar levels
• Those taking the following medication;
• Theophylline (to treat breathing problems)
• Ropinirole (to treat restless legs)
• Clozapine (to treat schizophrenia)

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

If you inhale too much nicotine or use the product too much you may experience one or more of the following effects:

• Feeling faint;
• Nausea (feeling sick);
• Headache;
• Coughing;
• Irritation in the mouth or throat;
• Dizziness;
• Stomach discomfort;
• Hiccups;
• Nasal congestion;
• Vomiting (being sick);
• Chest palpitations;
• Abnormal heart rate.
