Where are all the savoury e-liquid flavours?
Vapers’ taste buds are spoilt rotten! There are so many delicious e-liquids flavours to try that vapers experience an overload of tastiness together with impressive variety.
When you transition to vaping, a wonderful array of flavours awaits your attention. You can dive into a veritable ocean of fruit, dessert, drink, candy and tobacco blends. From gummy bears to strawberry ice cream, your favourite fruit and sweet treats are reflected in the moreish e-liquids on offer.
But have you ever searched for savoury flavours?
After all, the mere thought of fried bacon, sausages, roast chicken or pizza should be enough to see anyone investing in a mountain of savoury juice, vegetarians excepted.
Surely savoury flavours would be godsends for dieters, but you never see them, do you?
Where are all the savoury e-liquid flavours?

Disgusting blends that just don’t work
There are a few savoury flavours out there, but we wouldn’t recommend trying any of them.
The truth is that savoury flavours are disgusting. They might sound rather tempting but they are vomit-inducing horrors that you wouldn’t gift to your worst enemy. Retribution would be swift and extremely unpleasant!
It is worth noting that the brave souls at Vapemate did once offer a savoury e-liquid collection, but this was a short-lived experiment in torturing taste buds.
The offensive collection included Smokey Bacon, Chicken, Roast Beef, Maple Hot Wings and Hickory Smoked e-liquids. Reviews of the juices included the following comments:
“It made me violently sick for the next 10 minutes”
“Smokey bacon is absolutely vile”
“Maple Hot Wings is like C.S. Gas”
“Chicken flavoured cat food.”
What about Freedom Smoke USA’s Roast Chicken e-liquid that is also out there, somewhere? Well, the only review we could find of that juice described it as a “monstrosity”.
If you really feel the need, you can also invest in tuna flavoured juice. But please don’t! The reviews of this flavour make a comparison with cat food sound charitable.

What’s the problem with savoury blends?
The various efforts of e-liquid producers to create savoury flavours have all ended in abject failure. Savoury blends have thus far proved to be utterly foul. But why?
There’s no doubt that conjuring the taste of savoury foods is very difficult and so it could be that flavourists simply haven’t managed to produce the right recipes.
This problem is doubtless compounded by the fact that you can’t feature salt in e-liquids. Savoury foods require seasoning with salt in order to taste decent, but you can’t vape salt.
Maybe it’s impossible to create a palatable savoury e-liquid recipe. Sadly, further attempts to nail sausage and bacon flavours will almost certainly ensue. We suggest that you ignore them.
Should an even vaguely acceptable savoury flavour come to the market, we will, of course, bring it to you immediately. However, we feel that such a turn of events is unlikely and it would definitely represent a significant triumph of hope over expectation.
What’s next for e-liquid flavours?
While we all sit around waiting for the next appalling sausage flavour, we can at least explore new blends that do actually work. The likes of Vampire Vape, IVG and Zeus Juice continue to create diverse and original flavours with which to regale our taste buds.

Tuna e-liquids might well be revolting but candy, dessert and fruit flavours are different matters. There are fabulous vaping menus to explore, despite the absence of savoury flavours.
If you love your sausages, you can’t vape the taste so you will have to take the novel step of eating sausages instead. The calorie count will make your eyes water but perhaps not quite as much as Smokey Bacon e-liquid!
