What Is The Difference Between 50:50 And High VG?

All e liquids feature a mixture of vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) and this mixture is known as the base but the ratio of the two ingredients varies. When an e liquid is 60% VG or more, it is known as high VG. A 50:50 (50VG/50PG) e liquid contains equal amounts of VG and PG.

It is important to note that coils with a resistance of 0.7ohm or higher do not heat sufficiently to vaporise high VG e liquid due to its thick consistency. For this reason, high VG flavours are suitable only for e cigs with low resistance coils. 50:50 liquids are better choices for mouth to lung (MTL) devices as their thinner consistencies ensure that they do not clog MTL coils.
