If you’ve spent time reading about vaping products online, you know pod vape kits are the biggest trend to hit the vaping industry in years.

Pod kits are lightweight vape kits that come with a prefilled or refillable pod instead of a standard glass vape tank.

They’re great vaping choices for beginners, and they’ve also convinced many long-term vapers to downgrade from the larger vaping devices they once used.

Whatever your vaping experience level, you have an amazing selection of pod vape kits to choose from.

However, you don’t want to make the wrong choice. Otherwise, you could end up with a kit that’s unsuitable for your needs or doesn’t do what you expected it to.

To help you avoid this common pitfall, we’ve picked out the nine best pod vape kits on the market and categorised them according to the main benefit they provide to users.

That way, you know you’re getting the perfect kit for you.

SMOK Nord 5 Pod Kit

The Best Pod Vape Kits

GRAB THE SMOK RPM 5 NOW!

User review:

“Version 5 is definitely my favourite of all the SMOK RPM kits. I have no complaints about it.

I love the way it feels in the hand, the vibrant display, and the airflow. I like that there’s no rattling with it.

You will enjoy this.”

Mike Vapes

Quickfire summary:

  • 2000 milliampere hour (mAh) battery
  • Includes a mesh 0.23 ohm coil (20-45W) and 0.15 ohm coil (40-80W)
  • Compatible with a range of coils (more info below)
  • Slide-to-open top fill system
  • Fully adjustable airflow
  • Able to hold up to 2ml of e liquid
  • Supports direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping
  • Comes with a Type-C charging cable

Why you should buy it:

SMOK has set the standard for refillable pod systems since its existence. And with kits like the RPM 5, it’s no surprise that this is the case.

The RPM 5 looks and plays the part. It’s available in an array of distinctive colours (four of which are in a padded leather finish), it’s super easy to use, and it’s a powerful device.

Its power is one of its main selling points, in fact. It features a built-in, rechargeable 2000 mAh battery that can generate up to 80W of power. The 2000 mAh battery allows you to vape all day with no issues. If you’re a light vaper, you can expect to get two full days or more from this battery before needing to recharge.

Another huge selling point of the SMOK RPM 5 is its compatibility with different coils. The SMOK RPM 5 is compatible with the RPM 3 replacement coils (which are also compatible with SMOK Nord 5 pod kit).

This sleek, stylish kit also features a 0.96-inch TFT display that provides all the information you need, including battery charge level and chosen output.

What more could you ask for from a pod vape kit? It does everything you need and more.

Better yet, you can tailor it to your needs thanks to its fully adjustable airflow – something YouTuber Mike Vapes comments on in his glowing review of the RPM 5 (which you can watch by clicking on the link above).

All things considered, this kit is well worthy of the title ‘best pod vape kit in the UK’. In our humble opinion, anyway.

You'll fork out more for this than other pod kits, but you'll get what you pay for.

What are the other best pod vape kits of 2023?

Although we believe that the SMOK Nord RPM 5 is the best pod vape kit on the market right now, our choice is a little subjective.

We’ve based it on popularity and all-round features, but it may not be the best kit for your specific needs. You may opt for something else, depending on the following:

  • The type of vape you prefer
  • Where you’re at in your vaping journey (i.e., your experience level)

We’ve chosen another eight vape kits that cater to a wide range of vapers. If you want to find out more, read below to see which of these kits is best suited to you.

Vaporesso Xros 2: The best pod kit for beginners

Vaporesso Xros 2 Pod Kit

GRAB THE VAPORESSO XROS 2 NOW!

User review:

“If you’re looking for a pod device, you’re not going to do much better than this one. It oozes quality, it has everything you need to get started in the vaping game, and it’s not even expensive.

It’s better than the Xros Mini for a few reasons. For one, you’ve got the indicator which tells you how much battery you’ve got left. I also really like the air inlet at the back.

It’s a fantastic little kit and I 100% recommend it if you’re after a pod device.”

Adam Winch

Quick-fire summary:

  • Fast-charging
  • Easily refillable
  • Leakproof technology
  • Single button operation
  • Adjustable mouth-to-lung (MTL) airflow
  • 1000 mAh battery
  • 11-16W output
  • 0.8 ohm and 1.2 ohm pod included
  • Type-C charging cable

Why you should buy it:

If you’re a beginner vaper, the Vaporesso Xros 2 will give you the simplicity, durability, and quality you’re looking for.

Vaporesso is a premium brand that won’t let you down. It’s won numerous awards, and it’s renowned for its design and build quality and easy-to-use products, which are perfect for you if you’re just getting started.

The Xros 2 is single button operated, but you don’t even need to hit the fire button. You can vape this device simply by inhaling. That’s how straightforward it is to use.

As you’ll see from Adam Winch’s review by clicking on the link above, it offers a tighter draw than its predecessor if this is you preferred vaping style.

It also features leakproof technology. This detail will be music to the ears of vapers who are still mourning the loss of large quantities of e liquid over the years.

You won’t have to worry about endlessly recharging your battery, either – it should last you for a full day of vaping.

Stylish, convenient, and available for a reasonable price tag, this kit is a no-brainer for newbies.

Aspire AVP Cube: The best pod kit for intermediate to advanced vapers

Price: £22.99

Aspire AVP Cube Pod Kit

GRAB THE ASPIRE AVP CUBE NOW!

User review:

“If you smoke cigarettes and are used to a tighter vape, you’re going to get it with this device.

It’s definitely suitable for MTL vapers, and it’s very comfortable.

It’s super simple to use.”

Tony Brittan, Vapor Trail Channel

Quickfire summary:

  • Four output options to choose from (10W to 16W)
  • Suitable for MTL and DTL vaping
  • Adjustable airflow
  • 1300 mAh battery
  • Includes a 0.65 ohm mesh coil and 1.15 ohm kanthal coil
  • Type-C charging cable
  • Able to hold up to 2ml of e liquid

Why you should buy it:

The Aspire AVP Cube is an interesting choice in this context because it could also be classed as a starter kit.

However, some of its features, such as the multiple power options and MTL/DTL compatibility, will suit more intermediate to advanced vapers. In fact, it’s one of the few pod kits on the market that’s equally suited to MTL and DTL vaping.

There are two coils included with this kit, and they’re easily identifiable thanks to their different colours. If you install the 1.15 ohm coil for MTL inhaling, the AVP Cube changes modes and allows you to adjust the wattage by double-tapping the fire button.

As well as having a wealth of options in terms of output and vaping style, you also have different options when it comes to airflow. The AVP Cube contains two, four, and eight airflow holes across three sides, and you can adjust the airflow simply by rotating the pod inside.

All in all, this is an exciting, adaptable pod vape kit that’s tailor-made for seasoned vapers wanting a fine-tuned experience.

VooPoo Argus Air Pod System: The best pod kit for style

PRICE: £19.99

VooPoo Argus Air Pod System

GRAB THE VOOPOO ARGUS AIR POD SYSTEM NOW!

User review:

“This pod is good-looking and feels great in the hand. It’s very comfortable in the mouth.

If you’re a smoker looking to make the transition to vaping, you’re going to love it.”

RiP Trippers

Quickfire summary:

  • Stylish and elegant stitched leather featuring signature VooPoo branding
  • Zinc alloy housing
  • 900 mAh battery
  • Dual airflow
  • Able to support VooPoo’s Push and Pull (PnP) coils (from 0.6 ohms)
  • Contains two refillable pods able to hold up to 2ml of e liquid
  • 1-25W output range
  • Type-C charging cable

Why you should buy it:

As pod vape kits go, this is the most aesthetically pleasing and refined-looking kit on our list. There’s something about leather kits that elevates them above the rest.

But the VooPoo Argus Air isn’t just a pretty face. It offers incredible performance, giving you big clouds, delicate flavour, and a choice of MTL and DTL vaping.

The output range of up to 25W is impressive, as is the dual airflow. As RiP Trippers comments on in his review, which we’ve linked to above, you can get a standard or more restricted airflow simply by turning the pod in one of two directions.

We also find the 0.54-inch OLED screen a neat feature. Here, you can see your battery life, wattage, puff count, and current setting, i.e., auto mode. It’s crystal-clear and makes your vaping experience a whole lot easier.

Add the impressive battery capacity to the mix, and you’ve got a fantastic all-round product.

Given that it can produce kits like this, it’s no wonder VooPoo sells to over 200 countries around the world.

OXVA Xlim SE: The best pod kit for simplicity

PRICE: £15.99

OXVA Xlim SE Pod Kit

GRAB THE OXVA XLIM SE NOW!

User review:

“The device is simple and easy to use. There’s no screen, and there are no buttons.

This is going to be for a new vaper who wants to just fill up a pod, connect it to this device, and vape away. No fuss.”

Another Vape Channel

Quickfire summary:

  • User-friendly and no screen as described above; just an LED indicator
  • Auto-draw activated
  • Available with 0.6 ohm, 0.8 ohm, and 1.2 ohm coils
  • 900 mAh battery
  • Type-C charging cable
  • 5-25W output range

Why you should buy it:

If you’re looking for a pod vape kit that does what it says on the tin, the OXVA Xlim SE is for you.

Like the Vuse ePen 3, this kit is super simple to use. To get it going, remove the rubber bung from the side of your pod, fill it with e liquid after, and insert it into the device. And when you’re done, you dispose of the pod and replace it. It’s that straightforward.

You also have the auto-draw activation, which is super-responsive and makes vaping this kit a breeze.

This device has a minimalist look and feel, too. As we covered in the above summary, there are no buttons or screens full of fancy features, just the distinctive X-shaped LED indicator, which lights up when you connect the pod to your device and when you vape.

If you want to adjust your airflow, all you have to do is slide the airflow control on the side up or down. Again, very self-explanatory.

As for appearance, again, the OXVA Xlim SE ticks all the boxes. Don’t let the fact we’ve picked it for its simplicity fool you into thinking this is a bland kit. Far from it, in fact. It’s available in a range of stunning colours and boasts a matte metallic finish that’s pleasing to the eye.

Think of this as the Tesla of pod vape kits – sleek, stylish, and simple.

Uwell Caliburn G2: Best pod vape kit for build quality

PRICE: £23.99

GRAB THE UWELL CALIBURN G2 NOW!

Uwell Caliburn G2 Pod Kit

User review:

“The design of the G2 is a Caliburn through and through. It’s almost the perfect mix of the original Caliburn G and the A2.

You still have those ridges that the G had, but the front of the back of the device is now smoothed out like the A2.

I dig this design. I think that the G2 looks a lot better than the original G.”

Dash Review

Quickfire summary:

  • Rounded edges
  • Durable design
  • Single button operation
  • Suitable for MTL vaping (but can also suit sub-ohm and DTL vaping due to wider mouthpiece)
  • 750 mAh battery
  • Type-C charging cable

Why you should buy it:

Uwell is a brand you’ll see crop up a lot in ‘best of’ listicles like this, and with good reason. The Caliburn range is synonymous with premium quality, and the G2 pod vape kit is the icing on the cake.

If you’re an accident-prone vaper (or, more specifically, prone to dropping things), then your mind will be put at ease by this kit. Made from aluminium, it’s a strong, sturdy, and hard-wearing device that’s almost impossible to break. Considering how small it is – 11cm long x 2.5cm wide – it punches well above its weight.

The rounded edges make this comfortable in the hand and nice to look at. In terms of look and feel, we also like the ergonomic black mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is slightly wider than the one on the Caliburn G for a more fine-tuned airflow, and feels more comfortable when you vape, in our opinion. The lightweight plastic pods are another neat design feature.

As the reviewer says in the video that we’ve linked to above, the G2 is the perfect blend of other Caliburn models. So, if you own or have previously owned one, this device will be a home-from-home for you.

We’re going to stay with the Uwell Caliburn series for our next inclusion.

Uwell Caliburn A2: Best pod kit for overall flavour

PRICE: £17.99

Uwell Caliburn A2 Pod Kit

GRAB THE UWELL CALIBURN A2 NOW!

User review:

“The flavour is incredible – it’s literally incredible.

If you’ve just tried a disposable and you’ve identified the flavour that you’re into, step two is to get the Caliburn A2.

It will give you all of the flavour you’re after.”

Flavour Vapour Ltd

Quickfire summary:

  • 0.9 ohm meshed coils featuring Uwell’s Pro-FOCS flavour technology
  • Fixed coil design
  • Made for MTL vaping
  • Suitable for 50/50 VG/PG and high PG e liquids
  • Contains two refillable pods able to hold up to 2ml of e liquid
  • Auto-draw activated
  • Type-C charging port
  • 520 mAh battery

Why you should buy it:

Ok, yes – we’ve included two Uwell Caliburn pod vape kits back-to-back. But if we’re talking about flavour, there isn’t any kit that’s better than the Caliburn A2.

At the time of writing, Uwell has just released the Caliburn A3, which has received some rave reviews. But this doesn’t diminish the A2’s excellence, nor does it detract from the fact that it’s one of the best kits around for flavour.

The 0.9 ohm mesh coils that come with this kit are made to produce crisp, exquisite flavour and a smooth, satisfying vape.

Uwell’s exclusive flavour-adjusting technology makes this authentic flavour possible. Not much is known about this technology, aside from the fact it prioritises flavour – and delivers it to perfection.

The A2 is also hassle-free to use. Thanks to its fixed-coil pod design, you don’t need to endlessly change your coils, which is a big plus.

Admittedly, it’s not the most environmentally-friendly kit on the market. The coils are not replaceable, and the pods have to be thrown away. It also doesn’t come with a charging cable.

But if you can see past these relatively minor details and just want great flavour, then you should get your hands on this hugely popular product from the Caliburn range.

SMOK Nord 5: Best pod kit for longevity

PRICE: £28.99

SMOK Nord 5 Pod Kit

GRAB THE SMOK NORD 5 NOW!

User review:

“It’s fantastic with a 0.23ohm coil. I don’t have to use too much wattage, so the battery is going to last me a lot longer.”

Matt From SMM

Quickfire summary:

  • 2000 mAh battery
  • Can hold 5ml of liquid
  • 5-80W output range
  • Best suited to DTL vaping
  • Type-C charging cable

Why you should buy it:

At the time of writing, this is SMOK’s latest device, having only been released a few months ago. It’s a real all-rounder, with its battery capacity being its main selling point.

It contains a built-in 2000mAh battery that’s capable of providing up to 80W of power. This is almost 500mAh more than the previous RPM 4 Pod Kit, meaning it will last you a good couple of hours longer per charge.

If you have it at full charge and vape at below 45W, you may find that the battery lasts you a full day.

You can get replacement pods that can hold up 5ml of liquid and, like the RPM 5, the kit is compatible with the highly-rated RPM 3 coil range.

The Nord 5 is slightly more on the expensive side than the other pod vape kits we’ve chosen in our article. But based on our review, and the many reviews that are on YouTube, it’s worth every penny.

With this list, we’ve included something for every type of vaper. But don’t forget – these are nine of the best pod vape kits on the market. There are many more amazing options out there that we haven’t covered.
