How Do Shortfills Work?

Shortfills are bottles that have been underfilled with nicotine-free e liquid to allow room to add nicotine shots. They were introduced by manufacturers to enable vapers to buy larger quantities of e liquid. In the UK, under the current regulations that govern vaping, the maximum volume of e liquid that you can buy if it contains nicotine is 10ml. Nicotine-free products are not covered by the regulations. A 60ml shortfill bottle will contain 50ml of e liquid plus room to add one 10ml nicotine shot.

If you wish to invest in shortfills and need your nicotine fixes, you should purchase both your shortfills and nicotine shots or choose package deals that include both. Simply unscrew the top of the shortfill bottle and remove the nib. Then, unscrew the top of your nicotine shot and squeeze the shot into the shortfill bottle. Replace the nib and the cap of the shortfill bottle and then shake it rigorously. Your completed e liquid is now ready to vape.
